Matilda:50 minutes

When Matilda goes to school,a lot of kids make a big deal about the Trunchbull.Curious,Matilda finds many nice people and they soon become friends and they tell Matilda all about her headmistress.She is mean,HUGE,and there are a whole bunch of rumors going around about what goes on in her office.One day,Mrs.Trunchbull has to come into Matilda's classroom,and when they have recess,Matilda finds out that she slung a girl by her pigtails,just because she didn't like them.For other's the Trunchbull is the devil.For Mayilda,she's a sitting duck.

Matilda:30 minutes:Chapter 1-4

Mailda's family is very weird because they are mean to her and they are couch patatoes.When she goes to a library,she reads all the children's books and starts to read the adult books,the librarian becomes amazed.One day,she tells Matilda,"Instead of just walking here every day,you can check out a book."
Matilda is suprised and takes a book home,then her dad makes fun of her and won't let her come out of her room.That was very easy for her because she doen't even want to go around them anyways and she read.Before her dad went to work,she put glue in his hat so it would stick on his head.

Invention of Hugo Cabret:47 minutes:FINALE!!!END OF BOOK!!!

AT the end of this book,the girl's grandpa actually started to like Hugo.He showed Hugo pictures that some mysterious man showed him.The same man that showed the girl's grandpa the pictures kept on talking about his bright little son.The same man died in a fire and not one soul knew who or where the man's son was.OMG!!!The girl's grandpa knew Hugo's dad!!!The girl's grandpa wasn't sure if he could believe Hugo,so he listened to Hugo talk.Hugo then gets curious about the man and finds him very interesting because his image seemed so rough and heartless.Like he had been without a true soul his whole life.But then Hugo saw a sparkle in his eye.The kind you get when you see a brand new Lamborghini in your yard.It was like he had just been reborn,he was so interested in what Hugo had to say about what he knew about his father,and Hugo enjoyed listening to the man.Hugo finished the automaton when the man let him use many parts from his toy shop.When Hugo finished the automaton it drew pictures that looked familiar to Hugo and the man.It was the same picture the man showed Hugo from his father.The man now really believed that Hugo 's father was his old friend.When the man takes in Hugo from living behind the big clock,Hugo feels like he is a big part of something.


My comments on the book:

The story has a happy ending,and I'm very satisfyed that I chose that book to blog about.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret:29 minutes

When Hugo returns back to the train station,the train conductor chases him down[because by that time,everybody knew he was a thief]and grabs the notebook.How did Hugo get the notebook back?When he left the girl's house,she meets him at the library and he saved up his money to buy breakfast and coffee.She then told Hugo that her grandpa still hasn,t burned his notebbok.Hugo then stole the notebook from the man and that didn't make the man like Hugo any more.He still thought that Hugo was a poorly-educated,no good hobo.Hugo was actually pretty smart.He knew his way around a clock and other machines.Even though he saw only bad things in Hugo,he was determined to teach Hugo many thaings that he has yet to learn that his father had not yet taught him before he died.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret:45 minutes

When Hugo goes across the train station into the toy shop,he steals a little,wind-up toy mouse and the owner took Hugo's notebook with the drawings of the automaton in it.The man says that he is going to burn it.When Hugo sees a girl,he becomes curious and when he sees her again,she suprisingly reveals that the man that took his drawings was her grandpa and that he didn't burn them,he kept them safe.Finally,he goes to her house and shows the drawings and suprisingly finds many mysterious pictures-which when the girl's grandpa walks in.[thats when i stopped reading]

Invention of Hugo Cabret:20 minutes

Hugo Cabret is a very unusual boy.He also has a mystery behind him.His father died in a fire,and don't get me started on his drunk uncle.When he looks past that huge hole in his life,he realizes what really means to him:finishing the automaton,the only thing his father left behind,which writes a secret message and the only way for Hugo to read it and in order for the automaton to write,Hugo must fix it.But before he can fix it,he needs to get all the parts.I bet he is going to steal some parts from the toy booth across the train station.I don't know if his father is really dead and he secretly escaped the fire.I also think when Hugo fixes the automaton,it will draw a map that will lead Hugo to a safe or something,since he was poor.

The invention of Hugo Cabret:45 minutes

When Hugo Cabret's father dies and his uncle (who is always drunk)mysteriously disappears,he is forced to make a living by tuning the huge clock that he lives behind 3 times a day.One day he decides that there is more to life than tuning a big clock every day so he decides to steal a wind-up mouse so he can collect clockworks and finish making the automaton his dad left behind when he died in a fire.The automaton does a very special thing:write.And Hugo needs to find out what the automaton writes so he can unlock the mystery:what did his father want him to know
